Molly McCammon currently serves as Executive Director of AOOS. Prior to this she served for nearly a decade as the Executive Director for the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council, administering the restoration fund established as a result of a court settlement between the United States government and the state of Alaska and Exxon Corporation following the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. During her tenure at the Trustee Council, she helped establish the Gulf Ecosystem Monitoring Program – a permanently endowed, long-term ecological monitoring program for the northern Gulf of Alaska.

Molly came to Alaska more than 30 years ago after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley. Since then, she has homesteaded in the Brooks Range, reported for radio and television news, and served as a natural resource policy specialist for former Governor Bill Sheffield, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and the Alaska State Legislature.
